The Next Big Thing?

And its Tuesday folks! Not quite the middle of the week, and not the beggining of it either, but I guess it depends on when your week starts, some on Sunday and some on Monday dosn't matter to me!



--- Okay, its  a short one today... I saw a sign yesterday advertizing Subways new "Personalized Pizza's, now I don't know if its some sort of mid-life crisis, or if they lost a bet from Pizza Hut, but subway and pizza's? Way to put the SUB in SUBway!  Oh yah. and if you've gotten one before, comment and let me know how it tastes!

Bad Luck Lockout

It's T-shirt weather out there folks! How was your weekend? I know mine was GREAT! I watched that new Bourne movie (which ended before it even began) and got to hang out with my buds.

--- So there is controversy over that new movie Zero Dark Thirty! Apparently there is speculation that the movie could cause an uproar in Iran because, well, its a movie about one their leaders getting killed! I for one can see where they're coming from, but on the other hand, I really want to see that movie!

--- That Idle No More movement may be coming to end, with money being given to go towards cleaner drinking water and a better environment for native reserves across Alberta! After of course a good whining session from some of the natives... Hey its our land too!

--- Finally, hello hockey! A weekend full of games scheduled to start on Saturday, starting off with the Winnipeg Jets Vs The Senators... It'll  be a good match, but for June 29 as the final game, that's a summer well started!

Cookie Wrestling

So, woke up and it was -28 this morning, YIKES.... Feels like the cold part of Antarctica!
Anyways...

--- So the Flue has been spreading around like... Well... The Flue! Hospitals in Alberta are filling up to the point that they are canceling surgeries, imagine being the guy who has to get a surgery and the doctor has to tell him "sorry, this one guy's been coughing and sneezing all morning, we'll do that heart transplant next week right? Ahh winter, you never fail us!

--- So this cut yourself for Justin thing? I cut myself opening something yesterday, does that count?

--- Okay, so before I say buh-bye, I was watching the news and apparently there was this ferry crash in NYC I believe, they hit the dock so hard that people "flew" off their seats like superman in snowstorm! One person quoted that  "we docked as usual, but we were going to fast and we hit it head on with such force that I was knocked out from whiplash".  Damn, if it were that easy to knock yourself off, how come roller coasters haven't been sued for "whiplash knockouts" (could be a new wresting move though).

Osama and the Snowfall

--- So, that new movie Zero Dark Thirty plays on Friday, I myself am quite looking forward to it because its' about the killing of Osama Bin Ladan! That dude was the like a chameleon, no one could find him until the CIA caught wind of where he was staying... Turnes out it was run-down building (probably with no wifi), guess his roomates weren't that great because the army was still able get a clean shot and kill him (for all we know at least).  I wonder how he'd survive in jail? Picture Mr. Ladan trying to mastermind a jailbrake, "the infidels will pay for their wrongdoings, right after lunch!". 



--- Finally, remember that snowfall warning I mentioned yesterday for parts of Alberta? Turns out it never came where I live and instead there was a light flurry... What the hell Environment Canada? I'm not saying you screwed up but it would have been nice to sleep in a bit if the roads were icier then a hockey rink after a zamboni was finished with it!

Well, that's my rant for today, as long as it didn't bore you, please tell me what you thought of it! I like to get feedback!

 

Bahh! Winter!

So, the radio blabbing about how there's a storm a comin' and to dress warm and get your shovels ready...  In Canada, we are used to this! It is not unusual to see snow in winter, that's like asking if there is sand in the desert! (not an unusual statement for those 5 and under though).  So yah, we get it, there's snow coming, let the day go on as usual!

--- So in the U.S, gun laws are now being enforced because of all the crap going on there, so that pistol carrying old man that lived next door may have a little trouble keeping his unregistered '22 a secret since there have been reports of mass searches of housing properties in the past 2 weeks. 

--- Last but not least, this whole thing about the soviets and rockets! They launched a rocket, whoopee, we did to! The accomplishment was a doozy for them, but sorry soviets, the space race ended a long time ago and you still haven't sent a man to the moon!

Gonna start off right away

Just gonna start off right away by telling you this is not just a blog... It's an opinion... People post on their blogs all the time with fancy gimmicks and how-to's and top 10's... All you ever see are people commenting on these things and writing reviews for them... Its never just (hey! Why don't we just talk about it briefly then move on!).....

There are so many things that we can focus are thoughts on that we either read or watch on the net that we forget to see the bigger picture! It's all just gimmicks to get views and money and respect!

--- Phew.... Okay, got that off my chest... But seriously though... This blog is mostly that! Just cut the money part because there is no way I'm making cash on this....

--- So, maybe you just stumbled upon this blog and think its not worth your time... Just give it a chance! Its simple, witty, and sometimes provacative! Of course my posts won't be quite as long as this one (but hey, its my first post gimee a break!)
